Hantropos is a new born company whose founders have more than 10 years experience in the field of services to IT companies. IT market is growing at an impressive rate but Italy, even if part of “G8” as one of the most industrialized countries in the world, has a dramatic lack of IT professionals: latest news say 150.000 shall be requested by the end of 2002.
Presently IT companies have high backlog of orders and a low number of human resources to develop projects. So, they will be compelled to “import” technicians from foreign countries. On the other side they don't want to overstaff themselves because customers come and go quickly, as well as related revenues.
In addition, employers are looking for project or short-term personnel to handle mission-critical Gigs. These companies turn to consultants to deliver expertise and depth of skill without the training or employee development issues of a full time employee.

To further complicate the situation, Italian immigration law fixed a very low maximum number to unskilled workers coming from not-European Community countries. But there is a specific, unique chance to let skilled professionals legally enter the boundaries of our country without any number limitation and visa issuing problem: that is to sign contracts with foreign companies, whose specialized employees will work in Italy for a pre-determined amount of time (2 years maximum).
Anyhow, IT companies don't want to manage problems of immigration procedures, work permit issue, police foreigners' permit of stay, travelling, accomodation and so on.
But Hantropos does!
We operate in Milan – the industrial and high tech Italian capital -, we estabilished commercial relationships with many italian IT companies, we file their human resource needs depending on project specs, we cross them with foreign companies employees availability and skills and finally we sign contracts with both of them. After that, we instruct foreign companies and provide them with needed forms, documents and procedures to submit to Italian Embassy or Consulates in India and we take care of consultants at their arrival here in Milan – from picking them up at the airport to accomodation in comfortable centrally located residence flats, we follow them step by step in obtaining the last document (permit of stay), we supply them with mobile phones to easily keep in touch with us, we meet together the Italian customer and we help them in any way in order to feel comfortable in our town.

Depending on the contract clauses, consultants will work in the customer's office or in one of Hantropos locations in the Milan area.
For the most interested, Italian language courses will be organized in our headquarters.
