iVoice is a service to users who wish to send voice messages from the Internet to fixed line telephones/mobile phones and receive voice responses.
Basically, users can log into an iVoice enabled web-site from anywhere in the world, record their message, specify the phone number and the voice message gets delivered in the original voice to a normal telephone.
The receiver can optionally respond to the message on phone and this will be delivered back as a reply - again in the receiver's original voice. iVoice thus enables a regular voice based dialog.
Besides the basic functionality of iVoice, we like to highlight the following special features already available:
1. Timed delivery of messages and Delivery Confirmations
iVoice gives an option to the sender to specify the date and time of delivering the voice message. Also, the sender gets an e-mail confirmation of the message delivered along with a voice response of the recipient.
2. Pre- Recorded Voice Messages
The sender may like to send a pre-recorded wav-file to the specified telephone number.
3. Security Code
If the sender wishes to ensure that only a particular person may listen to his voice message, he can, while sending the message, specify a security code. iVoice Node will then deliver the message only if the recipient is able to enter this code on his/her telephone.
4. Multi-Language Support
On the Web side of iVoice, the sender can specify the language he wishes the announcements at the recipient's end to be made in. He can choose between the languages supported at the respective iVoice Node.
At the iVoice Node end, the configuration program allows one to define all languages being supported and to store announcement message components in all these languages. Further it allows the definition of a default language for the Node.
